This is Audi's new RS7 Performance, which gets the same 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the standard RS7 but with an increase in power and torque to 597bhp and 750Nm respectively. And this means a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.7 seconds compared to the standard RS7’s 3.9 seconds, and a top speed of 305km/h.

Audi has kept the RS7 Performance as discreet as possible and there is no visual difference between the standard RS7 and this car. But the RS7 was never discreet in the first place, all thanks to the aggressively designed body with flared wheel arches and the large air intakes integrated in the bumpers. Like it or not, you can't ignore the in-your-face design.

The RS7 Performance carries four people in extreme luxury and is sold with the Audi MMI infotainment system, Bose surround sound system and a four-zone climate control. But seriously who needs luxury when you have 597bhp available on tap?

No one ever complained of the standard RS7 being underpowered, but Audi went and gave it more horses and slapped a £6,575 premium on it anyway. Would you pay the premium for more power or not?
