BMW announced the M6 Coupe Competition Edition at the Frankfurt Show in September.
Power is boosted by 33 bhp to 600 bhp. This delivers 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and 0-124 mph in 11.8 seconds, 0.6 seconds less than the M6.
BMW claims that firmer tuning of the springs, dampers and anti-roll bars increases stability, reduces roll and results in a higher level of steering precision. Retro Alpine White paintwork with M sport flashes is reminiscent of the 3.0 CSL.
The price? $164,900, over $50,000 more the standard M6.
